Today I had Kapa Haka first we took off our shoes then we sat down in our lines waiting quietly for the teachers to tell use what our warm up song was going to be, For our warm up song we sung Ka Waiata with the years 4's and 5's doing the echoing, It sounded great, The next song that we sung was Aouteroa we have been practicing this song for a wile now to get it perfect before we perform it, Then it was time to finish and go have morning tea. The care value that I showed was Community because I was contributing by singing when needed.

Today I have technology, when I got to Lincoln in the bus I had to go straight to mandarin for 30 mins in mandarin we learnt about types of drinks e.g coke is kele in mandarin after that was finished we went to cooking and found out what we were making we made cupcakes and we got to choose what to put in them e.g white sugar or brown sugar, The ones that my group mad tasted really good they were smooth and soft I called them vanilla and choc chip cupcakes. The care value that I showed was Respect because I was respecting the things that we use.

Today at Kapa Haka we started with a warm up this was our school song then we practiced ka waiata we went threw this a few times, After that we went into Aouteroa and we went threw the whole song which the teachers were very happy about because it sounded really good, next we learnt a new song and the actions to it, we had finished that so we went over all of the songs so that we knew what we had changed with what song. The care value that I showed was Active thinking because I was thinking of the changes that we did in the songs.
I chose to play the organ the song that I learnt how to play was jingle bells. Here is a photo on what an organ looks like.
Today I had Technology, To go on the bus for tech I have to be at school before 8:30 because the bus leaves at 8:35 to go to Lincoln primary, We get there around 9:00. For Tech I am in cooking,whilst we do cooking we also learn Mandarin for me this starts at 9:00, After Mandarin we got given a recipe by our cooking teacher on what we were making, to start the year we made hot dog traps this is a saveloy in a peace of bread. Then we got out our ingredients and started to make them, When we had made them then it was time to go out for morning tea after we did some book work then it was time to go on the bus back to school for the rest of the day. The care value that I showed was Community because I was contributing by helping cook and dry the dishes.

Today I had Kapa Haka at 10:15, first we started with a warm up witch was our school song then we started to practice our main song that we have been practicing this is Ka Wiata, Then we learnt a knew so this was called Aorteroa and we started to know it of by heart we had changed it up a bit because it was a to high pitch for use to reach so we changed the key by the end of the lesson the teachers were very happy with the song.This finished at 11:10 and is on every Friday. The care value that I showed was respect because I was listening to the teachers.
Today we had a leadership meeting and we talked about what has been going well in our roll and what has been the most challenging thing so far, after that the house captains had to get together and each come up with a game to play with ether the Kauri (year 4-8) team or Kakano (year 1-3)team, Alex and I came up with a range of games to play here is a link of the doc that we have written things on. Link The game that we came up with was Capture the flag to play with the Kauri team. The care value that I showed was Excellence because I was challenged to think of many games that can be play with a range of ages.

In writing I have been learning to:
- use all basic punctuation independently
- attempt more complex punctuation (e.g semicolons, colons, parentheses)
I have been especially focusing on using parentheses and commas. I have highlighted these in green where I have used them as well as other punctuation that I changed because it was used incorrectly. Here is a piece of my writing that shows this.

Today the house captains got together to plan out the bin challenge then make a slide to share with the whole school at assembly, so that there are aware of it and where the bins are going to go an when this will take place, then that lunch time we started washing down the bins so that they were ready to be painted and have our house name on them so that people knew what bin to put there rubbish in. The next day each of the house captains got to paint there rubbish bins the color of there house and design it and make it stand out. The care values that I showed were active thinking because I was thinking about how to explain/ what to put on the slide that is suitable to show the whole school. The care value that I showed was Active thinking because I was contributing to the group discussion.
Today all the leaders had a leadership meeting first all of the house captains had to get together and talk about an activity/ challenge for the whole school to get involved in, my idea was a bin challenge so each house has a bin and the first house to get there bin full with rubbish wins 100 house points,we were also learning about how to put the care flags up in the school, I am rostered on in the morning to put the flags up then other house captains are rostered to take them down in the afternoon. Finally we had decided as a group to do my idea the bin challenge. The care values that I showed were respect because I was respecting the other house captains that had ideas. The care value that I showed was respect because I was respecting the person that was talking by listening and looking at the speaker.
